Dr Debjani Halder A filmmaker, scholar, and fearless documentarian of truth, Dr. Halder brings with her a luminous body of work and an unwavering commitment to stories that challenge, move, and reveal.

Currently Associate Professor of Filmmaking at Manipal Institute of Communication, Dr. Halder has received prestigious fellowships from the National Film Archive of India, Central European University, Indian Council of Social Science Research, and many others. Her film The Ethos of Darkness won the 69th National Film Award for Best Science and Technology Film, while Documenting Agony Ritwik and The Dark and Khat: A Letter to My Home have received wide international acclaim.

With over 40 academic publications and three monographs, her research and cinematic work span darkness, memory, and political presence; resonating powerfully with The Art Farm’s vision of art as resistance, ritual, and renewal.
